In the story, 24-year-old Zara feels underappreciated as the personal assistant to self-absorbed Hollywood star Chris Cole. She quits her job, frustrated. Shortly after, Chris arrives at Zara’s house to offer her an assistant producer position. However, he only finds Brooke, Zara’s mother, as Zara is out running errands. While waiting, Chris and Brooke hit it off. When Zara returns, she unknowingly walks in on them having sex. Chris promises it won’t happen again, but he invites Brooke to dinner. Soon, Zara’s boss is secretly dating her widowed mother.
