Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End (2024) follows Manel, a grieving lawyer in Spain who isolates himself after his wife’s death in a car accident. As a deadly virus outbreak sweeps across Europe, infecting people and turning them into violent zombies, Manel finds himself trapped. He tries to survive alone, facing obstacles like closed borders, scarce supplies, and dangerous encounters with the infected. Along the way, he meets others struggling to survive, including a group of sailors who complicate his escape. In a desperate attempt to reach safety, Manel gathers a small group and narrowly escapes with them in a helicopter, only to find out the virus has also spread to their destination, leaving their fate uncertain.
