Dead Sea (2024) is an American crime-horror film written and directed by Phil Volken. The film follows a young woman and her two friends as a fishing vessel’s captain rescues them. They were unaware that the ship harbored a chilling secret.
Kaya (Isabel Gravitt) and her friends embark on what starts as an exhilarating jet ski trip. Only to have it take a tragic turn when a fatal accident leaves them stranded in the middle of the open sea. Just as despair begins to set in, hope arrives in the form of a fishing trawler that pulls them out of the water. However, their relief is short-lived. The seemingly kind captain of the trawler has a sinister plan, transforming their rescue into a deadly trap.
Meanwhile, caught in the clutches of this murderous vessel, Kaya and her friends find themselves plunged into a harrowing nightmare. Determined to survive, Kaya must summon all her courage and ingenuity to outwit the cruel captain. However, she needs to find a way to escape the horrors of the ship.
