Hi Nanna (2023) follows six-year-old Mahi, who lives with her father, Viraj, and their dog, Pluto, in Mumbai. Mahi suffers from cystic fibrosis, and her single father, while devoting himself to her care, hides the truth about her mother, Varsha. However, when Mahi runs away, she unexpectedly meets Yashna, a woman who, unbeknownst to her, turns out to be Mahi’s biological mother.
As the story unfolds, it is gradually revealed that Yashna is, in fact, Varsha, who had lost her memory after a traumatic accident. Furthermore, Yashna had been manipulated by her mother, who led Viraj to believe she wanted a divorce. As Mahi’s health deteriorates, Yashna slowly rediscovers her love for Viraj, and ultimately, the family comes together just in time for a life-saving surgery. In the end, it is revealed that, even without her memories, Yashna and Viraj were always destined to be together.
