A group of friends discovers a locket at an old fire tower, which Troy takes.
This act brings Johnny, a mute killer from decades past, back to life. He had fallen to his death after someone tricked him into climbing the tower. Enraged and searching for the locket, Johnny begins murdering the friends one by one. He kills Ehren, Aurora, Brodie, Troy, and Evan in brutal ways. Each death is tied to the group’s proximity to the locket. Johnny’s killing spree continues until Colt and Kris learn that the locket keeps Johnny’s soul at rest. While they flee, the ranger explains the locket’s significance, but Johnny kills him. Kris eventually escapes to a nearby road and gets help from a passing woman. The film ends with the ominous hint that Johnny’s locket is still missing.
