Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024) is an American sci-fi action movie directed by Wes Ball and written by Josh Friedman. This standalone sequel to “War for the Planet of the Apes” (2017) is the fourth movie in the reboot series and the tenth in the entire “Planet of the Apes” series.
Set 300 years after the War for the Planet of the Apes, the story follows a young chimpanzee named Noa and a human woman named Mae. Together, they embark on a journey to determine the future of both apes and humans. This quest forces Noa to question his understanding of the past and make crucial decisions for the future. After an unusual encounter with a human, Noa faces a dangerous ape army that attacks his village and captures the survivors. Left for dead, Noa sets out to save his home and family.
Story of the movie
Left for dead, Noa wakes to find his clan kidnapped. He buries Koro and sets out to rescue them. He meets Raka, who shares Caesar’s teachings. They find a human scavenger following them; Raka names her Nova. Sylva’s raiders attack suddenly. Noa and Raka save Mae, who reveals raiders took Noa’s clan to a beachfront settlement.
Crossing a bridge, Sylva ambushes them. Raka saves Mae but is swept away. Noa and Mae are captured. Noa reunites with his clan and meets Proximus Caesar, who enslaves others for human technology. Proximus invites Noa, Mae, and Trevathan, a human prisoner, to dinner. Proximus thinks Noa can open the vault and warns about Mae’s motives.
Noa confronts Mae, who reveals a hidden vault entrance and a “book” restoring human speech. They plan to destroy Proximus’ settlement. Noa, Mae, Soona, and Anaya plant explosives. Trevathan catches them; Mae kills him. They find weapons and the “book,” a satellite key, in the vault. They escape but she face Proximus and his tribe.
Mae kills Proximus’ lieutenant and floods the bunker with explosives. Mae flees; Noa’s clan escapes. Noa traps and drowns Sylva. Proximus attacks but eagles send him off a cliff. Noa’s clan rebuilds. Mae explains that she destroyed the bunker to prevent Ape from accessing human weapons.
Noa questions coexistence. Mae delivers the key to a satellite base, contacting humans worldwide
