Oddity (2024) is a psychological horror-thriller revolving around Ted, a psychiatrist who orchestrates the murder of his wife, Dani. Ted manipulates events to frame his former patient, Olin.
Ted arranges the murder of his wife, Dani, with the help of Ivan, an orderly at the psychiatric hospital. Ted’s former patient, Olin, tries to warn Dani but is too late and is later framed and convicted for the crime. Olin is eventually murdered in the psychiatric hospital.
A year later, Dani’s twin sister, Darcy, who has psychic abilities, visits Ted at the country house where Dani was killed. Darcy begins to suspect Ted’s involvement in her sister’s death. Ted tries to cover his tracks by manipulating Darcy, but she discovers the truth through her abilities.
In the end, Darcy animates a wooden mannequin to attack Ivan, and Ted, thinking he’s free from suspicion, ends up ringing a haunted bell. The story concludes with Ted unaware of the ghostly presence behind him, hinting at his impending doom.
