Former UFC fighter Elwood Dalton scams fighters until he gets a job as a bouncer at a roadhouse in the fictional Florida Keys town of Glass Key. After a failed suicide attempt, he accepts the offer and befriends a local teen, Charlie, and her father, Stephen. Dalton defends the roadhouse from a gang working for crime boss Ben Brandt and meets Ellie, a doctor.
Living on a houseboat, Dalton becomes popular and mentors other bouncers. Brandt’s enforcer, Knox, is sent to hunt Dalton. After Brandt’s men burn down Charlie’s bookstore, Dalton kills a thug and frames a deputy. Brandt kidnaps Ellie, leading Dalton to confront him on a yacht. After a brutal fight, Dalton defeats Knox and Brandt is killed.
Dalton leaves town, gifting the money he took from Brandt to Charlie and Stephen. In a mid-credits scene, Knox survives and that escapes from the hospital.
