The Wild Robot (2024) follows Roz, a ROZZUM robot stranded on a desert island after a cargo ship accident. At first, the island’s wildlife fears Roz, and she struggles to find her place among them. However, her life takes a turn when she accidentally adopts a gosling named Brightbill. With guidance from the other animals, Roz learns how to care for him.
As time goes on, Roz faces numerous challenges, including rejection from the geese and being hunted by retrieval robots. Yet she forges strong bonds with the animals and plays a crucial role in helping them survive the island’s harsh conditions. Eventually, after leading a heroic fight to defend the island, Roz decides to leave in order to protect her friends, though she promises to return. Even when her manufacturers reset her, Roz manages to hold onto her memories and joyfully reunites with Brightbill in the end.
